Earlier this month we had an inspiring talk from Zara Day. She outlined her development as a textile designer and teacher.
Having originally studied printing techniques, Zara has developed her own unique style of mixing print with machine and hand stitching onto handmade felt. Her stunning bespoke fabrics are used by interior designers.

She didn't let the pandemic stop her. When her bespoke work stopped coming in she diversified and started offering online embroidery courses. With her teaching experience she was able to offer a creative outlet which many of us turned to during lock down. She plans to continue with online courses as she has enjoyed sharing her expertise with others.
