One of our members, Margaret, gave me a bag of mixed threads. After sorting out the threads that I thought might be useful for larger projects I was left with a pile of short pieces of thread.
After some pondering, I used some of the threads, along with wool tops, to create background fabrics ready to be stitched into.
Then I decided to use up some scraps of my own needle felted fabrics to make some small pieces for the front of notebooks. It was fun trying to find threads long enough and in the right colours. I did cheat a little and used some of my own threads but tried to use up the stash I was given.
All of the background fabrics, threads and the notebooks will be available to buy on our sales table at our exhibition in October.
